Bomb rocks viewing centre in Borno, killing 17, dozens injured

According to sources at the Borno State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, 17 persons have been killed in a multiple bomb blast that rocked Mandarari village in Kinduga local government area of Borno State last night.

Reports from local vigilantes, reveal that at about 8:50pm on Sunday night, three suicide bombers (two females and one male) detonated Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, at a viewing centre and a joint opposite the clinic at Mandarari ward, Konduga, killing themselves in the process, alongside 17 people, including a mobile policeman. Others at the scene of the blast, sustained various degrees of injuries.

The Nigerian military and police are yet to issue any official statement on the attack as at the time of filing this report.
