The convener of the Concerned Nigerians group, Mr Deji Adeyanju has cautioned supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the February 23 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, against expecting victory at the ongoing election petition tribunal where the party is challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to Adeyanju, Atiku will not get a favorable judgment at the tribunal because President Buhari “controls” the three arms of government.
In a tweet yesterday, Adeyanju wrote: “Atiku is not coming anywhere. Buhari controls the 3 arms of government. The courts are in his pocket. The legislature is under his feet. Stop fooling yourself. Nigerians must have sense by force.”
Adeyanju made the assertion shortly after the Personal Assistant to the President on Social Media, Ms. Lauretta Onochie, tweeted that President Buhari would defeat Atiku at the ongoing tribunal, stressing that the President’s defence which commenced on Tuesday at the tribunal, would not take up to one hour because the PDP and its candidate, Atiku, “made it a walk in the park.”
She added, “For sure, #AtikuIsNotComing.”
