The Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the renomination of former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama by President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as a “terrible mistake”.
The Enugu State APC chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye, who made the disclosure shortly after Onyeama was announced alongside 42 others by the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, today, added that the former minister had no business in the second term agenda of the APC-led federal executive council.
Nwoye noted that the reappointment of Onyeama whom he claimed had a penchant for thuggery and pulling down of party structure, would further destroy the party in Enugu state.
The state chairman also disclosed that Nigerians in diaspora did not feel Onyeama’s impact as Foreign Affairs Minister for the four years he occupied the office, as Nigerians were regularly killed in different parts of the world without any comment or reaction from his office.
