The convener of Nigerian Models Parade, Mr Emmanuel Amuwo, who also convened the much-publicized Eko Models Hangout with Sanwo-Olu in January 2019, has joined the pool of admirers in wishing His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, and the Host Governor of Nigerian Models Parade 2019, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a happy 54th birthday.

According to Mr Emmanuel, Eko models are excited to know that His Excellency’s administration has entertainment and tourism embedded in its project themes, which gives credence to the fact that the modeling industry is a multi-million dollar business, whose potential is yet to be fully maximized.

Emmanuel, spoke on the enormous benefits Lagos State stands to gain as hosts of Nigerian Models Parade, slated to hold later in the year.

He said, “Preparations are in top gear for Nigerian Models Parade slated to hold in Lagos later in the year.

“The event will break frontiers and create opportunities for expansion and growth.

“With 7 countries billed to be represented at the event, and an expected live audience of over forty thousand glued from all parts of the world, one thousand models will be used for the parade, which is the highest that has ever been used. It is a new dawn for models, who are referred to as the salt of the world.

“The benefits are enormous for Lagos State as the host, and we hope the state government as driven by His Excellency, the governor, will leverage on this.”

He also commended the foresightedness of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Femi Hamzat, who according to him, understands the role of models in nation building.

“In the course of preparing for Eko Models Hangout which held in January, we had a meeting, an impressive meeting with Dr Femi Hamzat who is now the deputy governor. He was able to understand the importance and the roles of models in nation building”, he said.
