Dethroned Zamfara Emir gets new appointment as PDP Deputy Chairman

Alhaji Hassan Marafa, a former Emir of Bakura in Zamfara state has emerged the Deputy Chairman of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the party’s congress which held in Gusau yesterday.

Alh. Marafa was dethroned as Emir of Bakura by the immediate past Zamfara state governor, Abdulaziz Yari.

The former Emir is expected to serve under the chairmanship of Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha who was re-elected for second term during the state congress of the party.

Other state executives who emerged include: Alhaji Hamisu Modomawa (state Secretary of the party) and Hajiya Ai Maradun, the former Woman Leader, who was elected Vice-Chairman, Zamfara West.

Some others were: Alhaji Sani Sada, Vice-Chairman North, Alhaji Isa Maigemu, Vice-Chairman Central and Alhaji Sule Anka as Auditor.
