The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) may be set for another round of crisis within its leadership hierarchy, as the deputy national chairman (north) of the party, Senator Lawal Shuaibu has requested the national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole to tender his resignation.
In a letter sighted by INSIDER yesterday (Monday), which was written by Lawal and addressed to the national chairman of APC, Oshiomole was accused of adding no value to the party and failure to build on what he inherited from his predecessor, Chief John Oyegun.
A part of the letter, dated 27th May 2019 and titled ‘APC: It’s fortune and misfortune, time to act!, reads: “It is my honest opinion that your ability to ensure this party flourishes is deficient as you lack the necessary composure and you also don’t posses the capabilities and the requisite experience to run a political party.”
Efforts to reach both Comrade Oshiomole and the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mallam Lanre Onilu, for comments proved futile as both of them did not pick their calls or respond to text messages.
