Fresh revelations on Senator Abbo indicates he’s ‘HIV positive’

Embattled lawmaker, Senator Ishaku Elisha Cliff Abbo, who reportedly assaulted a woman in an adult toy shop on May 11, 2019, in Abuja, is speculated to be HIV positive.

The Adamawa lawmaker, who’s been nicknamed the “Slapping Senator” by aggrieved Nigerians who reacted to the viral video of the alleged assault was reported to have been denied admission into the Nigerian Naval Training College, Onne, Port Harcourt in 2004 for testing positive to HIV.

The report revealed that on February 9, 2004, Cliff Elisha Ishaku, took the authorities of the Nigerian Naval Training College, Onne, Port Harcourt to court for allegedly denying him admission into the college on the grounds of his health status despite passing the recruitment test.

Mr. Ishaku in his suit, which was instituted on his behalf by the then vice chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Chapter, Barrister Jude Okeke, at the Abuja Federal High Court, prayed the court to declare his withdrawal from the School, by the Naval College and the Ministry of Defence on account of his testing positive to HIV virus illegal, unlawful and breach of his fundamental right to personal dignity.

The report, however did not clarify the outcome of the case.
