By David Olalekan.

A member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Wilson Dauyegha, has reacted to a video which captured him dragging, pushing and shoving the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in the state, Hon. Jothan Amos.

Hon. Dauyegha was seen in the video shouting: “What kind of chairman are you? You are a stupid chairman. I’ll deal with you”, after he tore some documents belonging to the APC chairman.

Dauyegha’s outburst was reportedly linked to the mode of governorship primaries to be adopted by the party in the state, being a known political ally of the immediate past Minister of State for Agriculture, Heineken Lokpobiri, who recently joined the Bayelsa guber race.

The embattled lawmaker who’s come under intense criticism since the video went viral, however denied assaulting the party chairman, stating that he only pushed the chairman in form of defense when he realized he (the chairman) tried forcing him to sign a document he wasn’t privy to.
