Senator Elisha Ishaku Abbo has been granted bail by a Federal Capital Territory Magistrate Court, having pleaded not guilty on a one-count charge of assault of a nursing mother.
The senator, who was arraigned in court today by the FCT police command was granted bail in the sum of N5 million and two sureties in like sum.
Reeling out his bail conditions, the Presiding Magistrate, Senior Magistrate Abdullahi Ilellah, stated that the sureties must have verifiable addresses within the FCT.
The case was adjourned to July 22nd for hearing.
