Kwara Assembly tells Abdulrazaq to reclaim another Saraki-owned property

The Kwara State House of Assembly, has moved to revoke another property belonging to the Saraki family.

The Assembly led by the Speaker, Engr. Danladi Yakubu-Salihu, on Tuesday asked Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to “declare as void” the acquisition, appropriation and conversion of residence of the late Dr. Olusola Saraki.

INSIDER learnt that the property, which is known as ‘Ile Arugbo’ is located at Ilofa Road, GRA, Ilorin.

The move by the Assembly was predicated upon a report presented by the Chairman, House Committee on Land, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Felix Awodiji, who represents Ifelodun state constituency.

According to the Speaker, the property belongs to the Kwara State government, and therefore should be reclaimed, while also advocating that the land be utilized for the development of the state.

Recall that the House had earlier revoked a government chalet sold to the former Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, in GRA, llorin.

The chalet was said to have been acquired by the former Senate President when he served as governor of the state.
