Naira rain in Abuja as Gov. Bello sprays 3 bundles of N500 notes on passersby

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on Wednesday, caused a ten-minute traffic jam in Gwagwalada, along the Abuja – Lokoja road, on his way from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The governor, who was heading to Lokoja in his convoy slowed down at Madam Mercy junction and brought out three bundles of N500 notes which he threw at passersby.

It was gathered that the gridlock lasted for ten minutes as Governor Bello displayed eight of his fingers to signify 4+4 while his supporters cheered, scrambling for the money.

It was also reported that some pedestrians, petty traders and commercial motorcyclists abandoned their businesses to partake in the naira rain.

Governor Bello’s popularity would be tested in the November 16 Kogi governorship election when he comes against the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Musa Wada.
