Nigeria’s youngest senator admits he’s the man in viral video assaulting lady in sex toy shop

Senator Elisha Abbo, representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the Ninth Senate has confirmed he is the man in a footage circulating on social media physically assaulting a woman in a sex toy shop in Abuja.

The young Adamawa senator, however retorted that the video was doctored.

Abbo, who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is the youngest senator in the 9th National Assembly.

In a 10-minute video, he was captured repeatedly hitting a lady in the face after she pleaded with him not to physically assault the shop owner whom he claimed had insulted him.

The incident, according to reports occured on May 11, 2019, nearly three months after he became Senator-elect.

Reacting to the footage, Senator Abbo said, “There is a video of me on social media. Let me state very clearly that when it happened, I was not a senator. It happened a long time ago.

“There is an aspect of that video that they took off. They didn’t show where my sister who accompanied me there collapsed and had to be rushed out in an ambulance. But we will provide our own response soon.”
