Omo-Agege emerges Deputy Senate President, defeats Ekweremadu

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege representing Delta Central, has emerged Deputy Senate President of the 9th Senate.

Omo-Agege polled 67 votes to defeat his rival, Senator Ike Ekweremadu who polled 43 votes.

Ekweremadu, who is the immediate past Deputy Senate President, occupied the position from 2007-2011, 2011-2015 and 2015-2019.
