The Kano State Police Command on Friday, invaded a local laboratory where it intercepted 303 cartons of hard drugs suspected to be Tramadol tablets.
Speaking to journalists in Kano, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Wakili narrated that following a tip-off, his officers conducted a raid yesterday at 157 Miller road, Bompai, in Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state, where a laboratory was located.
He further disclosed that one Chris Metuh was apprehended at the laboratory identified as: Ugo Lab Manufacturing Company, with 303 cartons of tramadol tablets.
The police commissioner assured that the raid was in continuation of the command’s effort to rid the state of all forms of crimes, especially the increasing consumption of hard drugs and intoxicating substances.
On the same day of the interception, Wakili explained that four other suspected dealers in hard drugs were arrested.
According to him, the suspects were arrested with one rubber of “suck and die,” two cutlasses, a breaking implement and large quantities of hard drugs.
The suspects were identified as Aliyu Khalid, Ibrahim Alasan, Mohammad Ahmad and Chukwu Felix.
“Investigation is ongoing and the suspects would be charged to court,” he added.
