The Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped from 33rd to 34th in the latest rankings released by the world football governing body FIFA.
According to the ranking table issued on FIFA’s website today, Nigeria polled 1, 482 points in the month under review as against 1,481 it had in August.
The Super Eagles however, maintained its third position in Africa queueing behind Senegal and Tunisia who got 1,546 and 1,493 points respectively.
The team will face the Selecao of Brazil in a friendly game at the National Stadium of Singapore on Sunday, October 13.
Nigeria fell 0-3 to Brazil at the Abuja National Stadium in 2003, which was the last encounter between both countries at the senior level.
According to the Brazilian Football Confederation, the Brazilian national team will take on Senegal in its first game during the next FIFA window before facing the Super Eagles three days later.
