The former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has taken to Twitter to mock the immediate past governor of Imo state, Chief Rochas Okorocha over his rumored arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fayose, who said he is welcoming Okorocha to the Commission, also asked the anti-graft agency to not forget former Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State.
The post, as sighted on the former governor’s verified Twitter handle @GovAyoFayose reads:
“Just reading that Okorocha was arrested by EFCC. True or not, we knew this day will come. However, I welcome him to the EFCC Alumni & enjoin the commission not to look away from Amosun too. While I encourage them to surrender themselves as I did, I welcome Mr Okorocha to the club.”
Fayose was apparently reacting to a widespread news in the early hours of today to the effect that former Governor Okorocha and his wife were arrested by the operatives of the EFCC. The anti-corruption commission has however denied arresting the former Imo state governor.
