Ganduje demands Sanusi’s response in 48 hours over alleged N3.4bn fraud

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has queried the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi over alleged misappropriation of N3.4bn as detailed in the full Interim Report submitted by the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission which indicted the Kano Emirate Council.

As earlier reported by INSIDER, the state’s anti-corruption commission further recommended the suspension of the Emir, stating that between 2014 and 2017, N3.4bn was misappropriated by the Kano Emirate under Sanusi.

Affirming the authenticity of the query which was reportedly issued through the office of the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff to the Emir, Munir Sanusi, confirmed that the query was received yesterday, June 6.

Munir also disclosed that the state government demands a response from the Emir within 48 hours.

“We received the query today (Thursday). The state government has demanded the response of His Highness within 48 hours. The council is studying the content,” he said.

However, the Kano State Government is yet to respond to reactions emanating from the query.
