Constituents organise special prayers for Senator Rafiu Ibrahim (PHOTOS)

The secretariat staff and constituents of ex-lawmaker, Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim who represented Kwara South senatorial district in the 8th Senate, on Friday (today), held a special prayer session for him and former senate president, Abubarkar Bukola Saraki.

According to Abdulqadir Abdulganiyy, the media aide to the former Kwara South senator, the prayer session was organised to seek continued divine guidance, blessings and protection for the duo.

The staff, led by Alhaji Abdulrauf Akogun and Hon. Muideen Alalade, the immediate past Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, converged at the ex-lawmaker’s constituency office in Omupo; alongside some Islamic clerics and top officials of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kwara South.

Shiekh AbdulAkeem Olomi and Dr Muhammad Ibikunle, led other Islamic scholars in the prayer, while Ven. J.A Oniyire, Canon J.T Bakinde and Pastor. Oladimeji conducted the Christian prayers.

The clergies prayed for continued strength, health and prosperity for Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, commending him for performing credibly during his time in the 8th Senate.

The prayer session was attended by PDP council chairmen in Kwara South, party chieftains and representatives of women and youth groups from the seven local government areas that constitute Kwara South.

Alhaji Abdulrauf Akogun gave the closing remarks, appreciating the Islamic and Christian clerics and everyone who graced the event out of love for the ex-lawmaker.
