Recall that Mustapha who was a gubernatorial aspirant in the 2019 APC governorship primaries, accepted the outcome of the process without resentment; a move widely acknowledged to have prompted the same show of sportsmanship from other aspirants who may have been aggrieved.

“Lukman’s sacrifice and spirit of sportsmanship is worthy of emulation”, Tinubu eulogized.

The APC national leader also charged the Rebirth Captain/Sai SOBI as he (Lukman) is fondly called, to continually support the fledgling government of Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to ensure it delivers on its campaign promises, stating that the governor requires the support of all relevant stakeholders to rebuild the state.

He said, “I am in politics to help ameliorate the sufferings of my people, I would never go against the interest and wishes of the masses. I am happy our new governor is a tested and successful businessman, he saw first hand the level of poverty, infrastructural decay, long neglect Kwarans were subjected to for decades and I can assure you he’s dedicated to changing the narratives.”
