A book in honour of the outgoing presiding justice of the Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division, Hon. Justice Ahmad. O. Belgore will be launched on April 18.
The book, which is put together by the Ilorin Bar is an effort to honour very distinguished personality who has contributed immensely to the development of legal profession, judiciary as well as the Bar.
According to a statement jointly signed by Kamaldeen Gambari, Taofiq Olateju and addressed to members of Ilorin Bar; the book is in the honour of Justice Ahmad Belgore to recognise his efforts in the development of legal profession as he bows out of active service.

Good evening learned silks, Seniors and Colleagues,
You will recall that our Branch has embarked on efforts to publish book in honour of very distinguish personalty who has contributed immensely to the development of legal profession, judiciary and the Bar.
Since our coming on board as the branch executive committee, we have been looking for a suitable personality to accept this honour but to no avail until the evening of yesterday, the 8th day of April, 2023.
You will equally recall that the presiding justice of the Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division, Hon. Justice Ahmad O. Belgore, PCJA is bowing out of active service on the 18th April, 2023.
We contacted my lord and his Lordship magnanimously accepted our offer. Consequently, the publication Committee in conjunction with the executive of our branch, have decided to honour his lordship with the book already compiled.
Prior to this time, we have been receiving pressure from the contributors to the book who are threatening to go and publish their articles elsewhere as they seriously need the publication for their career progression. This equally contributed to our hasty decision couple with his lordship imminent retirement.
We apologise to members for this sudden decision. We took this decision in the best interest of the Bar.
Therefore, the book will be presented/published as follows:
Date: Tuesday 18th April, 2023
Venue: Kwara State Government Banquet Hall, Opposite Government House, G.R.A, Ilorin, Kwara State.
Time : 10. am
