NLC will fight Governors to a standstill over new minimum wage – Ayuba

By David Olalekan.

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba has warned state governors unwilling to pay the new Minimum Wage to prepare for a showdown with the union, as Organised Labour will fight them to a standstill.

The NLC president reminded the governors of the oath they swore to abide by the laws of the land, stressing that the new minimum wage is now a law which must be enforced.

Comrade Wabba further hinted that the collapse of the political structure of the former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, was a sort of penalty from God for subjecting Zamfara workers to untold hardship.

More details later.
